About The Owner George – HHH Records

I received my first album when I was three years old, The New Christy Minstrels.  I would play the song “Green, Green” on my very own Sears record player.

When I was about five years old, I went to see Elvis Presley in “Frankie and Johnny” at the drive-in movies. I went with my mom and dad, and my cousins, the Petrella’s.  I thought he was so cool, so I would eventually collect all I could find on Elvis as well.

At 12 years old I started collecting records at Flea Markets every Sunday.  My mom and dad would take me to the Flea Markets and I would get $5.00 to spend. I saw an album with a man wearing a uniform on the front cover that happened to be Glenn Miller.  After that purchased I started buying every Glenn Miller record I came across.

The Glenn Miller Collection Begin’s

This album Glenn Miller Album was purchased at a Church Bazaar for twenty-five cents.

At the same time I would listen to Charlie Horner’s Radio Show.  He played Rhythm & Blues and Black Vocal Harmony groups which later became known as DOO WOP.

I collected records for 40 years until I opened up my first store in Warminster at the 263 Market Place in 2008 (which has since closed).  I set up my store with all the doubles that I owned.  After about one year we had to expand, so we moved to where we are now, 21 N. York Road in Hatboro, Pa.

As far as my personal collection, I own every Glenn Miller record: 78 and vinyl ever made. I own thousands of 78’s.  My collection also includes, Bix Beiderbecke, Benny Goodman, Bunny Berigan, Artie Shaw, The Dorsey Brothers, Louis Armstrong – Paul Whitman.

About The Owner HHH Record Store

Every Elvis Presley movie, including specials, every album and other Elvis memorabilia.

In April 2007 I was given a 2 hour time slot to DJ a radio show live on WRDV 89.3 in Hatboro, for my birthday. There I met the man that would become my mentor and good friend, Rich Lagerman.  I would go sit in with him during his show every Thursday until I took the FCC rules class provided by the station.  In 2009 I got my own show, Thursdays from 10:00 PM- 1:00 AM following my good friend Rich.  I play Swing and Big Band music.  My show is now Thursday nights from 6:00-9:00 PM.  I also do a DooWop Show every Sunday from 3:00-5:00 PM.  Both shows, in their entirety, are records from my personal collection and/or borrowed from friends.
